Because of the evolutions introduced through Gilgamesh V and in order to lay more emphasis on the strategical aspects the conditions to achieve victory have significantly evolved compared to previous episodes.

General Principles :

Session Victory :

Victory in a session is determined according to the highest score achieved by a Faction during this session.

Final Victory :

The final victory for Episode 5 will be granted to the Faction which will have achieved the highest score by the end of Session 22. This score will be computed by adding the mean between the relative value of points (as a %) and the number of dominated sectors (as a %) for each faction.

Dominating faction :

A dominating faction is the faction which has the highest score in a given sector.

Computing Methods :

At sector level :

As usual, computing scores for each faction in each sector will be done as follows :

Total = number of validated points in the sector - penalties

Penalties are described in a specific topic.

At Global level :

At global level, scores are computed by taking into account the validated points and the number of dominated sectors.

- First, glbal scores are converted into percentages;

Example : After three sessions, factions have the following global scores :

Chaos : 30000 points
Angels of Death : 25000 points
Inquisitorial Crusade : 24000 points
Eldars : 21000 points

Total : 100000 points

Once converted into percentages :

Chaos : 30000/100000 = 30%
Angels of Death : 25000/100000 = 25%
Inquisitorial Crusade : 24000/100000 = 24%
Eldars : 21000/100000 = 21%

- Then, we do the same with the number of sectors dominated by each faction;

Following the same example :

Chaos : 20
Angels of Death : 12
Inquisitorial Crusade : 5
Eldars : 10
Empty or contested : 3

Total : 50

Once converted into percentages :

Chaos : 20/50 = 40%
Angels of Death : 12/50 = 24%
Inquisitorial Crusade : 5/50 = 10%
Eldars : 10/50 = 20%
Empty or contested : 3/50 = 6%

- Finally can we compute the real score by computing the means between the two percentages.

In our example :

Chaos : (30%+40%)/2 = 35%
Angels of Death : (25%+24%)/2 = 24,5%
Inquisitorial Crusade : (24%+10%)/2 = 17%
Eldars : (21%+20%)/2 = 20,5%
Empty or contested : 6%/2 = 3%

Those scores will be checked and computed after each session.

Additionnal notes :

- Points for Episode 5 will be taken into account as of Session 17;
- With the exception of the Ruins of Hive Gilgamesh, all sectors will start session 17 with no points scored;
- For the Ruins of Hive Gilgamesh, factions will start Episode 5 with an existing score which will be the addition of the scores achieved during Episodes 3 and 4, in order to represent the real picture of that sector.
