The Gilgamesh Campaign "opposes" four primary factions : the Legions of Chaos, the Angels of Death, the Eldars and the Inquisitorial Crusade. Necrons are a fifth faction but follow a specific rule regarding points allocation. You have to choose one of these Factions or become a Mercenary to play. Belonging to a Faction allows you to add your army points to the Faction's total score so as to achieve victory.

Nota :

Captains

Each Faction will have to vote for a Captain who will be in charge of managing his troops. He will also coordinate the actions of his warriors (the Players) so as to conquer or defend the sectors.

The Captain may also "ban" those among his troops that do not achieve their objectives. Banishment is not compulsory and the Captain (beside the admin) is the only one mandated to use it.

Banishing a Player simply consists in preventing a Player to participate to a reasonable number of sessions that the Captain will determine, in order to avoid losses in points. In case of major problems with a specific member a Captain may ask for a complete banishment from the Faction. To do so, the Captain will have to warn the Player that he will not be authorized to participate to X following sessions. Beside this PM the Captain will also message his admin who will enforce the decision.

In order to be easily identified, each Captain receives a special rank, depending on his Faction:

Chaos : Maître de l’Ost de la Ruine (Skaw) ;
Angels of Death : Bouclier de Baal (Loishy IX) ;
Eldars : Grand Harlequin (Sethin) ;
Inquisitorial Crusade: Porteur de Lumière (Kerian)
Necrons : Le Survivant (Radjame).

To help them to communicate between each other and with the admins, a specific sub-forum (the Captains' Corner) has been created for the Captains.

Special rule for the Necrons:

As of Session 13, Necrons have lost their autonomy as a primary faction. In order to represent the fact that they nonetheless try to make all their foes kill each others, the Necron Captain will declare which primary faction the Necrons will support for a given session. This choice will last for the whole session.
Yet, the points scored by the Necrons will still be accounted besides the official scores, in case enough Necron players should join the Campaign in the future and the faction become primary once again. If so, all the points scored by the Necrons will be extracted from the scores achieved by all relevant factions and will become the basic consolidated score for the reborn Necron faction.
